GaGa Ball-
GaGa Ball is the coolest thing to hit Wise County since the seasoned fry showed up on the menu at the Finish Line!!! And let me tell you it is worth the hype!!
GaGa Ball is an intense game of dodgeball confined to a pig pen! If you can jump… If you can slap a soccer ball… If you can go crazy… then this game is definitely for you! It has been said that GaGa Ball is essentially dodgeball on steriods, and that is not too far from the truth!
To begin the game, everyone willing to play jumps in the pit and takes one hand and places on the fence until play beings. The soccer ball is tossed in the air and on the third bounce, the madness begins! Your object is to stay in the game as long as possible (obviously!)… and you are on your own, no teams needed!! 1 on 1 on 1 on 1…
The only way to get out is by letting the soccer ball hit your leg BELOW THE KNEE or breaking a rule! If the soccer ball hits you above the waist- you’re still in! If the ball hits you in the face- you’re still in! If the ball hits your foot- YOU’RE OUT!!!!
In order to get someone out, you must slap the ball with an open faced hand… no throwing, no punching, no kicking… only slapping the ball is allowed! And you cannot dribble the ball to get better position, you can only slap it once and hope that it gets all shin!
It is crazy- one night we had almost 50 students in the pig pen playing Gaga Ball- and it was a blast!!!
You never know, the Gaga Pit might just find its way into your school parking lot!! Or it might find its way to your neighbor hood??
You never know- but when the ball is dropped and the game is on… Get ready to go GAGA!!!
